There are many people out there producing videos so I'm not going to go into much detail about how to create a video while mountain biking.  However, to view my particular setup, check out my How To Page.

Pete Fagerlin has been doing it a long time so check out his site for information.  Also, check out Bill Porter's site as well.  Both of them have gone the "bolt a camera to the helmet" route rather than using a lipstick style camera with a camcorder stuck in a backpack like I do.  They both started with the lipstick camera and upgraded.

The two main advantages of securing the camcorder directly to the helmet are better optics and image stabilization.  With the lipstick camera, you cannot take advantage of the camera's image stabilization and the camcorder has significantly better optics than the lipstick camera.  But, I'm reasonably pleased with the results I get so I'm not going to be upgrading any time soon.  Eventually, but not right now!

The links below will take you to individual pages for each ride.  You will find links to video files there and any other miscellaneous stuff I happened to put there as well.  As I stated on the home page, I won't be putting any maps on here since I don't have the stuff to create them.  There are enough other people out there doing this and Bill Porter is one of them.  Check out the online trail reviews at SoCalMTB and MTBR as well for more information.  When necessary, I will include the route I take for a particular ride though.  Feel free to e-mail me with any questions and I'll try to clear up your issues.

The video link will be the first image or images on each page.  After the video links, I may include pictures of the trail if I have any, or any descriptions of the route ridden.  But, the video file(s) will be at the top of the page.

DO NOT Stream the videos.  Right click and save to your computer then view from your own hard drive.  YOU WILL get an error if you try to stream them.
