My friends and I competed in the inaugural 24
hours of Temecula race put on by Granny Gear.
We pre-rode the course and I took the camera gear along. I put the video
together in more or less order of the course, so most of the trail is in the
same order as when we rode it. Of course, what you don't see in the video are
the HUGE climbs we had to tackle before we got to the fun stuff.
Here's an elevation profile to see how tough this course really was. That first
climb was just plain STEEP.
We ended up in 7th place out of 30 teams so we're quite happy with that finish.
We had a few issues over night that cost us some time but that's racing and we
accept it. If luck had worked in our favor, we may have had a chance at 4th
place but I don't think we could have made the podium so we're pleased with our
finish.
